Wendy Wright picture
Wendy L. Wright
DNP, ANP-BC, FNP-BC, FAANP, FAAN, FNAP

Dr. Wendy Wright is an adult and family nurse practitioner and the owner of two, nurse practitioner owned and operated clinics within New Hampshire. Her family practices have won numerous awards, including Top Providers in New Hampshire 2020, Top 20 Fastest Growing Family Business, and Top 20 Women-Owned Business in New Hampshire. In addition, she is the Owner of Partners in Healthcare Education, a medical education company. She is the Past President of NPACE and the Senior lecturer for Fitzgerald Health Education Associates.

Dr. Wright is the recipient of numerous awards and was chosen by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as the 1999 recipient of the New Hampshire State Excellence Award. In addition, she received the 2009 NH Nurse Practitioner of the Year and the 2014 Top 5 Women in New Hampshire Business Award. In 2020, Dr. Wright won the Top Family Practice Doctor in Souhegan Valley and the 2021 State of NH Advocate of the Year Award. In 2005, she was inducted as a Fellow into the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners; in October 2014, a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing, and in March 2017, a Fellow into the National Academies of Practice.

Dr. Wright is the founder of the NH Chamber of Entrepreneurial Nurse Practitioners, an organization designed to assist nurse practitioners with independent practice issues. In addition to full-time clinical practice, she presents nationally to different audiences and has been a speaker at over 1000 conferences in 47 states. She is the nurse practitioner representative to the State of NH Immunization Advisory Board. Sh has been a medical media spokesperson for numerous companies and has appeared on radio, television, and in print magazines. In October 2020, Dr. Wright was featured in the Wall Street Journal for her Nurse Practitioner Led Clinics and the care they provide. She is frequently consulted by malpractice attorneys around the area of clinical practice and has worked on more than 100 malpractice cases involving nurses and nurse practitioners.

Dr. Becky Burpo is an Associate Professor and the Nurse-Midwifery Program Director at TTUHSC since 2015. She has led the growth of the nurse-midwifery program with an annual enrollment that meets or exceeds the population distribution for students of color. She also has integrated program curriculum content on structural racism, health disparities, social determinants, implicit bias, LGBTQ care, and trauma/violence. Becky credits her interest in this topic to graduate school seminars on structural racism and implicit bias that were led by Camara Jones, then president of the American Public Health Association. Becky has enjoyed a long career in women’s health clinical practice, administration, and education, in a variety of sites and programs. She has also engaged in numerous advocacy, policy, and professional service roles. Currently, Becky’s professional service focuses on serving as an accreditation site visitor for the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME) and the national chair of the Directors of Midwifery Educators (DOME).

She received her DNP from Yale University, post-master’s certificate in midwifery from UT Southwestern/Parkland School of Nurse-Midwifery, MSN from the University of Pittsburgh, and BSN from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

PhD, AGACNP, AGPCNP, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, FAANP

Sally Miller is a clinical professor with Drexel University College of Nursing and Health Professions, Philadelphia, PA where she teaches physiology and pharmacology to APRN students. Additionally, Dr. Miller is the APRN consultant/investigator to the Nevada State Board of Nursing and maintains active clinical practices with Sahara Family Practice and iCarePsychiatry in Las Vegas, NV. Dr. Miller hold four nurse practitioner certifications: Adult-gerontology acute care, adult-gerontology primary care, family, and psychiatric-mental health. Dr. Miller is a fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

Dr. Miller is a member of numerous professional organizations, including AANP, the American Nurses Association, the Academy of Correctional Health Professionals, and the Nevada Nurses Association. She has been published in several nurse practitioner journals including the Journal of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Biological Research for Nursing, Journal of Geriatric Physical Therapy, Journal of Primary Health Care, Journal of Correctional Health Care, and Advance for Nurse Practitioners. Dr. Miller has also served as a content reviewer for many of these publications.
